Dr. Nicholas Norvell is a native of Tennessee. He grew up in Lebanon, TN and attended the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for his masters degree, dental degree, and residency training.
He received his D.D.S. degree in 2014 and his M.D.S. and certificate in prosthodontics in 2017. In addition to his professional education, Dr. Norvell is also a Certified Dental Technician.
Dr. Norvell and his wife, Kami, began to build the foundation for what would become Restoration Dentistry in 2017. After working in other practices, Dr. Norvell felt called to bring high-quality prosthodontic care to his hometown. After settling in Wilson county with their 3 children, the vision for Restoration Dentistry finally came to life in October 2019. Restoration Dentistry has gone on to provide life-changing dentistry for over 1,000 patients and receive national awards for practice design and achievement.
Dr. Norvell believes that everyone deserves access to good oral health. In addition to being an in-network provider with all major dental insurances in Middle Tennessee (including Tricare for our active duty and reserve service members), Dr. Norvell and team are excited to introduce an all-new in-house membership plan for all of our uninsured patients to say thank you and reward them for trusting Restoration Dentistry with their oral health.
In addition to maintaining a full-time specialty dental practice, Dr. Norvell is a major contributor to the dental field. He maintains academic appointments as an Assistant Professor at Meharry Medical College and Professor at University of Tennessee Health Science Center where he works with dental students, prosthodontic residents, and other postdoctoral residents. Also, he currently serves as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Reserve where he works with sailors and marines to ensure mission readiness. Dr. Norvell also lectures nationally to other dentists, specialists, and laboratory technicians on the topics of implant dentistry, prosthodontics, and digital dentistry. He currently serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Prosthodontics, and Jornal of Prosthetic Dentistry among others.
Professionally, Dr. Norvell has received some of the highest honors in the dental profession.
